en.Wedoany.com Reported - NVRO Metals has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Hecla Greens Creek Mining, a subsidiary of Hecla Mining, to process approximately 35,000 tons of Hecla tailings as feedstock at the NVRO Metals Hub located in the Northern Territory of Australia.

The clean technology company announced in June a proposed acquisition of the assets constituting the Metals Hub, which remains subject to conditions and is expected to close in August 2026.

NVRO Metals CEO Grant Freeman stated that this memorandum paves the way for the industrial-scale deployment of the NVRO process using customer feedstock, marking a significant step in the commercialization of the technology and demonstrating the role of the NVRO Metals Hub as a centralized processing platform for critical minerals.

Successful completion of the Hecla project will advance the closed-loop NVRO process toward Technology Readiness Level 9.

The memorandum is non-binding and contingent upon the successful completion of production demonstration activities currently underway at NVRO's facility in Perth, Western Australia, using 20 tons of Hecla feedstock, to the satisfaction of Hecla.
