(NASDAQ: MWC) has announced the establishment of a new subsidiary, "Micware Spacia Co., Ltd.," dedicated to developing spatial intelligence business, aiming to create new value in the Web4 era. The entity will officially commence operations on September 1, 2026.
The new company will be renamed from the existing subsidiary "Micware Navigations Co., Ltd." As part of the business restructuring, the DynaPlanet platform currently under Micware will be transferred to the new company for operation. Masahide Shigeno, current Representative Director, Vice President, and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Micware, will assume the roles of Representative Director, President, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the new company while retaining his positions at the parent company. Additionally, Kenta Imaida, current Representative Director, President, and CEO of Micware Navigations, who was responsible for part of its business, will be transferred to another subsidiary, Micware Automotive Co., Ltd., to strengthen its micAuto platform business.
Micware's growth strategy aims to become a platform business operator by developing and expanding platform businesses. The company believes that the establishment of Micware Spacia marks the beginning of this growth strategy, paving the way for the company's future development. The company plans to announce related measures in phases in the future.
