en.Wedoany.com Reported - ERP Portugal, in partnership with the cultural entertainment discovery platform Fever, has achieved environmental results. As of 2026, the collaboration has ensured the collection and recycling of over 86,000 VARTA batteries.

Recently, the partnership collected 33,000 batteries at over 300 Candlelight concerts, including 22,000 in Lisbon and 11,000 in Porto, spanning 170 performance dates with two concerts per day. These batteries powered thousands of LED candles, creating the immersive atmosphere of Candlelight concerts. Each performance used approximately 6,300 batteries, which had a lifespan of about two months before being collected and processed by ERP Portugal's professional team.

Battery recycling prevents harmful substances such as lead, mercury, cadmium, or lithium from contaminating soil, water, and air. ERP Portugal transforms potentially hazardous materials into resources, contributing to the circular economy.

Rosa Monforte, General Manager of ERP Portugal, stated that each candle lit by VARTA batteries represents an opportunity to reinforce the message of the circular economy. The 86,000 batteries collected at concerts validate the effectiveness of integrating sustainability into large-scale cultural event strategies.
