en.Wedoany.com Reported - Canadian ore processing company Dynacor Group Inc. (TSX: DNG) announced on July 9, 2026, that its Galam pilot plant in the Kédougou region of southeastern Senegal has officially begun processing its first batch of ore. The plant, designed with a daily processing capacity of 50 tons, has achieved over 95% overall progress, with the laboratory and front-end process facilities already completed and operational. Dynacor expects to achieve its first gold pour in August 2026.
Founded in 1996, Dynacor Group is an industrial ore processing company specializing in processing ore from artisanal and small-scale miners, committed to establishing a responsible mineral supply chain under strict traceability and audit standards. In 2023, the company established its wholly-owned subsidiary Galam SA in Senegal to develop and operate this pilot plant. The Kédougou region concentrates approximately 96% of Senegal's artisanal gold mining sites and 77% of its artisanal gold production, with the country's artisanal mining sector estimated to produce 7 tons of gold annually.
This pilot plant aims to validate Dynacor's financial and operational model in West Africa, providing a basis for decision-making on larger-scale commercial operations in other African countries. Hot commissioning of the plant is currently progressing in the main process area, covering stages such as grinding, leaching, gold refining, and the Merrill Crowe circuit. All relevant permits are expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026.
Dynacor expects the Galam plant to become a key driver of its expansion strategy. As a responsible artisanal gold ore processor, Dynacor receives premium pricing from luxury jewelry brands for its PX Impact® gold products. The company also operates processing plants in Peru and is advancing expansion projects in Ecuador. The commissioning of Dynacor's pilot plant in Senegal represents a critical step in introducing Peru's successful model of formalizing artisanal gold mining to West Africa.
