en.Wedoany.com Reported - Qatar data center operator Meeza has completed a 4MW expansion project to serve an unnamed global hyperscale cloud service provider, delivering the project nine months ahead of the original schedule. The project is based on a hosting agreement signed in 2025 valued at 3.5 billion Qatari riyals (approximately $96 million), under which Meeza will provide data center capacity to the client for over a decade. The company stated that this expansion will support faster cloud service deployment and drive the growth of Qatar's digital infrastructure.

Meeza CEO Mohamed Ali Al-Ghaithani stated that completing the project nine months ahead of schedule reflects the team's dedication and strengthens the confidence of global technology leaders in Meeza as a digital infrastructure partner. He noted that as demand for cloud services, artificial intelligence, and high-performance computing continues to accelerate, Meeza remains committed to investing in world-class digital infrastructure, supporting Qatar's Digital Agenda 2030, and positioning the country as a preferred destination for hyperscale cloud investments.
Qatar's Digital Agenda 2030 aims to accelerate digital infrastructure investment, drive economic diversification, and reduce reliance on oil and gas resources. Meeza is continuously expanding its hyperscale capacity, having signed a separate 6MW hosting agreement with another undisclosed cloud provider, valued at over 7.5 billion Qatari riyals (approximately $205 million). The company operates five data centers in Qatar, including the M-VAULT 5 facility at Qatar Science and Technology Park in Doha. Meeza completed its initial public offering (IPO) in 2023, listing 50% of its issued share capital on the Qatar Stock Exchange.
