en.Wedoany.com Reported - In the first half of this year, China's Jiangxi Copper Group Co., Ltd. produced 1.2594 million tons of cathode copper, achieving operating revenue of 315 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.73%, setting a new historical high for the same period.
Non-ferrous metals represent the second trillion-yuan industry in Jiangxi Province. As a leading enterprise in the sector, Jiangxi Copper Group continues to optimize its industrial layout, enhance the efficiency of industrial innovation, and accelerate the cultivation of new productive forces. The group adheres to innovation-driven development, deeply implements the "1269" action plan, and promotes the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, yielding a number of influential industry achievements. In the 2025 National Science and Technology Awards, the group's participating project "Development and Application of Key Technologies for Accurate Evaluation of Engineering Rock Slope Stability" won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. The "Silicon-Carbon Anode Material" project, in collaboration with Nanchang University, won the highest award at the 2025 National Disruptive Innovation Competition and established Jiangxi Province's first thousand-ton production line. To date, Jiangxi Copper Group has accumulated over 3,000 authorized patents, with three enterprises including Copper Foil Co., Ltd. being recognized as national-level specialized and new "Little Giant" enterprises, and the number of high-tech enterprises growing from 15 in 2020 to 22.
Inside Jiangxi Jiangxi Copper High-Precision Copper Strip Co., Ltd., a 35-meter-high high-temperature vertical furnace stands tall, with hundreds of meters of copper strip moving smoothly and orderly. Sun Jiaming, Deputy Director of the Safety, Environmental Protection, and Production Technology Department, introduced that the third-generation core product, C7025 alloy, has achieved large-scale supply, while the fourth-generation core products, C7035, copper-chromium-zirconium, and double 65, have reached internationally advanced levels in multiple core performances. The fifth-generation cutting-edge products have completed technological breakthroughs and mass production verification. Jiangxi Copper Group has formed a technology iteration roadmap of "producing one generation, developing one generation, and reserving one generation," achieving independent and controllable core technologies in the high-end copper-based alloy field, ranking among the top tier in the domestic industry.
In December last year, Jiangxi Copper Group launched several new high-precision copper strip products, including the independently developed double 65 copper alloy, achieving a breakthrough in market application. The group focuses on key core technology breakthroughs in areas such as copper deep processing and special copper alloys. By deepening cooperation with universities inside and outside the province, optimizing talent supply, and enhancing intelligence levels, it accelerates the transformation from primary raw materials and rough processing to deep processing and high-value-added end products. Since the beginning of this year, Jiangxi Copper Group has received the Jiangxi Base designation for the National Key Laboratory of Key Metal Beneficiation and High-Purity Processing; the "6N High-Purity Rhenium Metal" project, jointly declared with institutions including Nanchang University, has been officially approved.
Preliminary work is underway in an orderly manner at the Jiangxi Copper Future Science and Technology Industrial Park, with a total investment of approximately 10 billion yuan, located by Yaohu Lake. The second and third phases of the project will incubate industrialization projects such as copper alloy wire billets and grain boundary diffusion high-performance magnetic steel, further leveraging the group's role as the chain leader in the copper industry chain, radiating and driving the growth of industrial clusters in Nanchang, including the low-altitude economy and new energy sectors.
