en.Wedoany.com Reported - Three companies—Oswal Pumps, GK Energy, and Shakti Pumps—have recently received orders for off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems (SPWPS) from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL), with a total value exceeding INR 8.2 billion.

Shakti Pumps (India) Limited announced that it has received a Letter of Empanelment (LoE) from MSEDCL to supply 15,000 units of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP off-grid solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across Maharashtra, under the project named Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana. The total value of these pumps is approximately INR 3.5389 billion (353.89 crore). The contract covers the design, manufacturing, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of the systems. The company plans to complete delivery within 60 days from the receipt of the work order/Notice to Proceed (NTP).

GK Energy has also received a LoE from MSEDCL to supply 10,000 units of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems for the same project, with a total value of INR 2.3592 billion (235.92 crore, inclusive of GST). The execution period is also 60 days from the receipt of the NTP.

Oswal Pumps has secured an additional order from MSEDCL valued at INR 2.3592 billion (235.92 crore, inclusive of GST) for the supply and installation of 10,000 solar water pumps. This order falls under the Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump Yojana project as part of the PM Kusum-B scheme, covering the design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP solar water pumping systems. These systems will be installed at identified farmer locations across Maharashtra to support sustainable irrigation and promote the use of renewable energy in the agricultural sector.
