en.Wedoany.com Reported - Rosatom Nedra (a subsidiary of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation) has announced plans to begin development of the Dor and Ryveem gold mining areas in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug by 2031. According to data released by Elkonsky GMC (a subsidiary of Rosatom Nedra) and cited by multiple media outlets, each mining area is expected to extract approximately 3 million tons of ore annually. These two areas, together with the Sovinoye deposit scheduled to launch in 2029, form the Pilkhinkuul-Ryveem gold mining node.

Currently, Rosatom has invested over 10 billion rubles in building a mining cluster based on the Sovinoye, Ryveem, and Dor deposits. The project includes the construction of ore extraction and processing complexes to produce gold alloy ingots. Among these, the Sovinoye deposit is planned to commence operations first in 2029.

Rosatom Nedra previously stated that it is considering selling stakes in the Chukotka gold project, including 100% equity in the Dor and Ryveem mining areas, through the sale of shares to strategic investors or an initial public offering (IPO).
