en.Wedoany.com Reported - SLB and Liberty Energy announced a partnership on July 14, 2026 to jointly provide modular power and infrastructure solutions for AI and high-performance computing data centers. The two companies aim to accelerate data center deployment by deploying behind-the-meter power systems, bypassing the lengthy construction cycles associated with traditional grid connections.
Gavin Rennick, President of SLB New Energy and Industrial Business, stated that the bottleneck for AI infrastructure is no longer computing power itself, but the ability to deliver infrastructure and electricity within the timelines currently demanded by the market. By integrating complementary infrastructure and power capabilities, the two parties will help developers accelerate the deployment of new data center capacity.
Ron Gusek, CEO of Liberty Energy, noted that the scale and complexity of AI energy infrastructure are fundamentally changing how power systems are built and deployed. Liberty Energy's integrated power service platform is specifically designed to adapt to this transformation, offering customized integrated solutions. Building on a long-term partnership with SLB, the two parties will launch power solutions that address current capacity constraints while supporting next-generation energy systems.
Additionally, SLB and Liberty Energy will collaborate on hybrid power systems, digital energy management, and advanced power solutions for future data centers. Since 2024, SLB has delivered over 1.3 GW of modular infrastructure, with cumulative global deliveries expected to exceed 2 GW by the end of this year. Liberty Energy has also expanded its data center power business, including a 1 GW agreement with Vantage Data Centers and a memorandum of understanding with DC Grid for off-grid gas power generation.
