en.Wedoany.com Reported - Ekoalyans, a company under the fuel division TVEL of Rosatom, has launched a production line for automotive exhaust catalysts in Novouralsk, Sverdlovsk Oblast. The total investment in the project amounts to 4.3 billion rubles, of which approximately 3.2 billion rubles were provided by the Industrial Development Fund (FRP) under the "Automotive Components" program.

With the loan funds, the company purchased three automated production lines: one for passenger car catalysts (with an annual capacity of 2 million units), one for truck catalysts (with an annual capacity of 400,000 units), and one catalyst packaging line. As a result, the plant's total production capacity has tripled from 800,000 catalytic units per year to 2.4 million units.
Taras Pekarsky, General Director of Ekoalyans, stated that previously there was no industrial production of catalysts for diesel engines meeting Euro 5 and higher standards in Russia. The funding from the Industrial Development Fund (FRP) enabled the company to become the first in the country to launch such production. The new production line can manufacture products that meet the strictest environmental standards and fully satisfy the demand for catalytic units in the Russian trucking industry.
The company's products are supplied to the production lines of domestic automobile plants, including the manufacturing of Aurus cars. The use of catalysts produced in Novouralsk can contribute up to 70 points to the localization of exhaust after-treatment systems.
