en.Wedoany.com Reported - IEL, a manufacturer of highway automatic toll collection (Hi-pass) terminal devices, has launched a one-stop support system through its nationwide special sales outlets in line with the Korea Expressway Corporation's expansion of the terminal purchase cost support program.

To alleviate the transportation cost burden on citizens and enhance the convenience of highway use, the Korea Expressway Corporation is promoting a Hi-pass terminal support project worth a total of 1.78 billion won this year. Since the project's inception in 2014, approximately 44.6 billion won has been invested, with over 2.95 million terminals distributed.

Starting this year, the scope of support recipients has been expanded to include light vehicle and taxi drivers, in addition to existing beneficiaries such as persons with disabilities, national merit holders, and users of old terminals. For light vehicles, applications are accepted if there is no prior support record; for taxis, individually owned taxis and small-to-medium corporate taxis that have not received support in the past five years are included.

IEL provides customized customer services through special sales outlets established at 42 Hi-pass centers and offices nationwide. Visiting customers can handle all processes—from verifying eligibility for support, consulting on terminals, purchasing products using support funds, to device registration—in a one-stop manner.

IEL plans to focus on reducing cases where benefits are missed due to a lack of awareness of the system itself. Anticipating an increase in highway users before the summer vacation season, the company will strengthen on-site guidance personnel at special sales outlets and conduct parallel online and offline promotional activities to enhance the effectiveness of the support program.

The Korea Expressway Corporation's Hi-pass terminal support project can be accessed by visiting nationwide special sales outlets or applying online through the manufacturer. Detailed information on specific support recipients and application procedures can be found on the highway toll website.
