en.Wedoany.com Reported - Terminal Puerto Arica (TPA) has strengthened operations and adjusted internal processes to address a logistics emergency affecting Bolivia for over 50 days, resulting in an average weekly shipment volume of 1,282 over the past three weeks, 40% higher than normal.

The port concessionaire stated that this logistics emergency has significantly increased demand on the terminal, which has absorbed high occupancy rates without halting the receipt of Bolivian imports or interrupting services to shipping companies. To cope with the pressure, the terminal has strengthened operations and adjusted internal processes, achieving an average weekly shipment volume of 1,282 over the past three weeks, 40% higher than normal levels.
TPA emphasized that despite the pressure from the emergency, the operational strengthening has translated into higher predictability of cargo extraction. The terminal maintains direct coordination channels with shipping companies and users to adjust operations as the situation in Bolivia evolves. TPA General Manager Camilo Jobet noted that the company will continue to strengthen capacity and advance normalization, but the full recovery of the logistics chain depends not only on the port but also on the commitment and coordination of all relevant parties in Bolivia.

The concessionaire stated that the situation remains challenging and the normalization process is ongoing. These results reflect the terminal's commitment to continuing to strengthen shipment capacity and contribute to the gradual recovery of the logistics chain. A week ago, TPA had already assured that it was maintaining an "abnormal backlog" of Bolivia-related cargo in its storage areas.
