en.Wedoany.com Reported - Innoduler Rail has produced the 1000th InnoBogie bogie frame, just one year after the Innofreight Group first launched the bogie.

The first InnoBogie was installed on an 80-foot InnoWaggon, which rolled out of the InnoWay Trieste plant on July 2, 2025. The Innofreight Group revealed that the entire development cycle, from concept to production-ready design, took 22 months.

The bogie features a lightweight structure, increasing payload by 250 kg per unit, equivalent to 500 kg per four-axle wagon. According to the Innofreight Group, this payload advantage is attracting attention from the steel industry, where payload is a core operational metric.

Innoduler Rail is responsible for supplying the steel for the bogie frames and implementing the welding process. Over 12 months, the company produced enough frames to equip 500 wagons, with final assembly all completed at the Trieste plant. Additionally, the company has driven the expansion of the Trieste wagon factory and the training of skilled Italian workers, while the Slovenian plant continues its existing production tasks. As planned, a dedicated welding robot production line will be built in Trieste by the end of this year, with an annual capacity of 3,000 InnoBogie bogies.

Following the 80-foot InnoWaggon, the InnoBogie bogie will be gradually applied to other models produced at the InnoWay Trieste plant. The first version is designed for standard gauge lines, with customized versions planned for Finland, Spain, and Portugal. The bogie complies with International Union of Railways (UIC) standards and is based on a modular frame design for the European standard gauge.
