en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Fujian Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently approved the construction of the Quanzhou section of the G1532 Quanzhou-Meizhou Expressway. This project has been included in the National Highway Network Plan (2022–2035). Its construction will improve the layout of the national expressway network, address regional corridor deficiencies, support coordinated industrial development along the route, facilitate the development of the southwestern Fujian cooperative development zone, promote urban-rural integration and improve travel conditions, while also enhancing national defense transportation and emergency support capabilities.

The route starts at the Caopuyuan Interchange on the G15 Shenyang-Haikou Expressway in Huangtang Town, Hui'an County, Quanzhou City, and extends westward through Luoyang Town in the Taiwan Investment Zone, Heshi Town in Luojiang District, Honglai Town, Kangmei Town, and Meishan Town in Nan'an City, finally ending at Puqian Village in Matou Town, where it connects to the G72 Quanzhou-Nanning Expressway via the Puqian Interchange. The total route length is approximately 37.4 kilometers, with 7 interchanges and 1 service area along the entire line. Additionally, connecting roads for the Luoyang Interchange and Honglai Interchange will be constructed simultaneously. The expressway will be built to a bidirectional six-lane standard with a design speed of 100 km/h, a roadbed width of 33.5 meters (integral type) or 2×16.75 meters (separated type).

The project entity is Quanzhou Quan'an Expressway Co., Ltd., and the construction sites involve Hui'an County, the Taiwan Investment Zone, Luojiang District, and Nan'an City in Quanzhou. The total estimated investment for the project is 10.18 billion yuan, including a static investment of approximately 9.95 billion yuan and construction and installation costs of about 6.09 billion yuan. The project will be financed through a government toll (debt repayment) model. The capital fund is set at 37.3% of the total investment (approximately 3.714 billion yuan), with the provincial government bearing 35% and Quanzhou City bearing 65%. The construction period for the project is 36 months.
