The project aims to accelerate the construction of a regional new display industry base, with a target of a ten-billion-level microdisplay industry cluster also being mentioned.

The project covers a total land area of approximately 26 mu, with a planned total building area of 44,000 square meters. It is positioned as a high-end R&D and large-scale production base for MicroLED microdisplay devices. Upon completion, the company will expand the production capacity of its core products, iterate microdisplay process technologies, and consolidate its technological position in the field of core AR/VR display devices.
Jade Bird Display's overall project is being constructed in two phases within the Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone Comprehensive Bonded Zone. Phase I was completed and put into operation on October 18, 2023. After more than two years of operation, the company's output value in 2025 increased by 162.3% year-on-year, validating the market competitiveness and commercialization capability of its MicroLED products and laying the foundation for the Phase II expansion.
The Phase II project will improve the supporting system for the new display industry in the Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone and address the shortcomings in the high-end microdisplay manufacturing segment. As market demand for AR and VR terminal devices continues to be released, and MicroLED serves as the core solution for next-generation near-eye displays, the production capacity gap is widening. The completion of the project will help improve local upstream and downstream supporting facilities and enhance the strength of the industrial cluster.
Focusing on the Phase II project, the park will leverage local MicroLED manufacturing capacity to attract upstream and downstream enterprises, including AR terminal complete machines, supporting electronic components, and content software developers, to establish an integrated near-eye display industrial ecosystem. This will connect the industrial chain from chips and microdisplay devices to terminal products and application content. Industry analysts believe that MicroLED microdisplays represent a strategic track for the development of the new display industry. The early start of Jade Bird Display's Phase II project will accelerate the concentration of regional industrial resources and foster the formation of a ten-billion-level MicroLED industrial cluster.
