The airline stated that approximately 250 Spanish companies are currently operating in Saudi Arabia. According to OAG flight schedule analysis data, the route provides 2,312 bidirectional seats per week. This new route directly connects the European gateway with Riyadh's rapidly developing hub.

Southwest Airlines plans to launch flights between Amarillo, Texas, and Houston Hobby Airport on March 11, 2027, operating four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The route will be operated by Boeing 737 series aircraft, covering approximately 537 miles with a flight time of about 1 hour 40 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes. Southwest previously operated seasonal flights between Amarillo and Houston Hobby, and the new plan increases the route from the previous one weekly flight to four weekly flights.
Additionally, Air Niugini has resumed flights to Tokyo Narita Airport in Japan, connecting Port Moresby International Airport in Papua New Guinea, with two weekly flights using Boeing 767-300 and 737-800 aircraft. This exclusive route had been suspended for six years, and its resumption provides a direct connection between Papua New Guinea and Japan, with a flight time of approximately 6 hours 50 minutes.
