This reception pavilion, located in the Minganie region, is a key facility for local tourism and economic development, with the total project cost exceeding $1.6 million.

This strategic project aims to strengthen the role of the Port de Havre‑Saint‑Pierre as a regional economic driver, with a focus on improving the quality of services for tenants, cruise passengers, and visitors. The project also seeks to enhance the durability of the tourism reception building, ensuring its long-term functionality and performance.

The Portail Pélagie‑Cormier project will be implemented in three phases. The first phase involves the modernization of the reception building and upgrades to public spaces, along with the addition of a new public workspace. The second phase will renovate part of the second floor, adding three rental offices and a washroom accessible to persons with reduced mobility. The third phase focuses on optimizing the building's exterior environment to enhance the visitor experience.

This project is directly aligned with the tourism and economic priorities of the Minganie Regional County Municipality (MRC de Minganie) and the City of Havre‑Saint‑Pierre (Ville de Havre‑Saint‑Pierre).
