en.Wedoany.com Reported - During the international agricultural exhibition "All-Russian Field Day - 2026" held in Russia's Altai Krai, Kazakhstan proposed a series of initiatives aimed at expanding agricultural cooperation with Russia, including the construction of a grain terminal on Russian territory, joint projects for agricultural product processing, and the establishment of new greenhouse production facilities. This agricultural cooperation initiative is promoted with the participation of Kazakhstan's National Food Contract Corporation and was announced during the participation of a delegation from Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture in the exhibition.

Saken Kanibekov, Chairman of the State Agricultural Industry Committee of Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture, presented the development of Kazakhstan's agriculture at a roundtable held within the framework of the exhibition. He stated that over the past two years, Kazakhstan's grain crop harvest has remained at the level of 26 million tons, while the total oilseed harvest reached a historic high of 4.9 million tons. Kanibekov particularly emphasized the importance of developing joint breeding and seed production efforts, stating: "Research institutions of the Eurasian Economic Union member states plan to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in sugar beet breeding and seed production."

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture noted that implementing joint projects, establishing a unified register of crop varieties, and improving financial support mechanisms for agricultural cooperation initiatives will help reduce barriers in the common agricultural market, enhance the competitiveness of agricultural products, and strengthen the food security of the Union member states. Kazakhstan's delegation's participation in this exhibition reflects the country's willingness to further consolidate scientific, technological, and production agricultural cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.
