en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 21, 2026, Polymetal (АО «Полиметалл») has completed the construction of a processing plant at the Veduga (Ведуга) deposit in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and the plant has now entered the commissioning phase.

The processing plant has an annual ore processing capacity of 2.2 million tonnes and is equipped with crushing, grinding, flotation, and concentrate drying workshops. The produced refractory gold concentrate will be shipped to the Amur Hydrometallurgical Plant (Амурский гидрометаллургический комбинат, AGMK) for processing.

The development of the Veduga deposit employs a combined approach: open-pit mining commenced in 2024, while ore from the underground mine will be fed into production starting from 2029. Ore extraction in 2026 is expected to reach 1 million tonnes. As of January 1, 2026, the deposit's reserves stood at 36.1 million tonnes of ore with an average gold grade of 3.7 g/t.

The project utilizes a closed-loop water circulation system and is connected to the Unified National Grid (15.2 MW), thereby eliminating diesel power generation to reduce its carbon footprint.

Since the investment decision, total capital expenditure has amounted to approximately RUB 50 billion (excluding VAT). Upon reaching full capacity, the plant will employ 1,500 people, and a modern shift camp has been built for the employees.

The Veduga deposit was discovered in 1977 and is located in the Severo-Yeniseisky District of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, 520 km north of Krasnoyarsk, accessible year-round by road. The project is operated by Polymetal, and its project company, Amikan Mining Company (ГРК «Амикан»), has been included in the integrated investment project "Yenisei Siberia" (Енисейская Сибирь) and holds the status of a Regional Investment Project (РИП).
