en.Wedoany.com Reported - Discovery Mining (TSX: DSV) has confirmed a 4-kilometer mineralized strike length through drilling at the Pamour Mine in Ontario, Canada, as part of its 255,000 to 285,000-meter exploration program.
The company completed 47 drill holes totaling 11,003.4 meters across four target areas, with results continuing to expand mineral resources across all three phases of the current open-pit mining plan. President and CEO Tony Makuch stated that these results demonstrate Pamour is a large deposit with significant growth potential. Makuch noted that drilling results to date have been extremely successful in confirming and expanding existing resources, as well as returning high-grade intercepts at multiple targets, with the Pamour mineralized system identified over a 4-kilometer extent, ranging from 300 to 700 meters in depth, and the system remains open.
Current Pamour resources include: 64.8 million tonnes at 1.3 g/t gold in the indicated category, totaling 2.7 million ounces; and 23.3 million tonnes at 1.34 g/t gold in the inferred category, totaling 1.0 million ounces. Drilling targeted the Pamour Pit, North Contact Zone, Pamour West, and Keora Trend areas. Notable results from the central pit include: 30 meters at 3.05 g/t gold, 24 meters at 2.08 g/t gold, and 6.5 meters at 8.04 g/t gold.
At Pamour West, located 4 kilometers west of the current resource, drilling returned significant intercepts including 5.1 meters at 11.54 g/t gold and 6.8 meters at 10.38 g/t gold. The North Contact Zone drilling program included 14 holes totaling 4,117 meters, targeting an east-west trending volcanic-sedimentary contact north of the Phase 2 pit, with results including 8.5 meters at 6.84 g/t gold and 12.8 meters at 4.27 g/t gold. Meanwhile, at the Keora Trend area, located 200 meters west of the Phase 2 pit, drilling intersected 5.9 meters at 17.36 g/t gold at a vertical depth of approximately 350 meters.
Drilling continues with three rigs operating at the Pamour open pit, Pamour West target, and North Contact Zone. Discovery Mining plans to update its mineral resource estimate later this year as part of ongoing resource conversion and expansion efforts. Makuch stated that the latest results further confirm the existing potential and support the company's belief in the opportunity to transform Pamour into one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines. Discovery Mining is a growth-oriented precious metals company focused on gold, silver, and other critical minerals.
