en.Wedoany.com Reported - Amrize's adhesive, coating, and sealant manufacturing facility in Norcross, Georgia, recently completed a $1 million modernization, celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the project's completion. The investment was used to expand the facility's manufacturing and R&D capabilities, supporting the continued growth of the Tacky Tape® and GacoSeal® product lines in the aerospace, composites, and construction sectors.

The renovation, completed over the past year, included production floor refurbishment, quality assurance laboratory upgrades, new R&D equipment, and manufacturing technology enhancements to improve production visibility. The facility also established a new Sealant Tape Research & Development Center of Excellence to support future product development.

The upgrades are expected to streamline manufacturing operations, strengthening process control, production monitoring, and quality assurance capabilities. The Tacky Tape series, used in aerospace and composites, and the GacoSeal series, designed for metal building construction, will both benefit from more stable process support.

Konrad Wernthaler, President of Gaco and Enverge (Gaco & Enverge), stated that this investment enables the team to develop next-generation composite tapes for the rapidly expanding aerospace and satellite sectors, pushing the boundaries of high-tech markets while also supporting regional economic growth. Zouhir Adlani, Plant Manager of the Norcross facility, noted that with enhanced data-driven insights, the team can better anticipate and respond to evolving customer needs.

Attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Amrize leadership, Peachtree Corners Mayor Mike Mason, and community partners including Nick Masino, President and CEO of the Gwinnett Chamber and Partnership Gwinnett.
