The initiative was celebrated at the site’s inauguration, attended by YB Datuk Seri Johari bin Abdul Ghani, Minister of Plantation and Commodities, and recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records as a historic milestone.

Sepuran Green membranes designed to upgrade biogas into high-quality biomethane that can be directly fed into local natural gas grids

Evonik’s Sepuran Green membranes employ a three-stage separation process to produce high-purity biomethane efficiently, maximizing methane recovery while reducing energy use compared to conventional methods. This technology enhances the site’s ability to supply clean energy, aligning with Malaysia’s goals to expand renewable energy sources and reduce carbon emissions. The biomethane supports local energy consumption, particularly for industrial and commercial applications, without impacting trade dynamics.
