en.Wedoany.com Reported - Silverco Mining Ltd. has announced that the overall restart of its Cusi mine in Chihuahua, Mexico, is approximately 68% complete, with the project remaining on budget and on schedule, targeting first concentrate delivery in the fourth quarter of 2026. The Cusi mine is foundational to Silverco's vision of becoming a 10-million-ounce silver equivalent producer annually within three years.

Currently, underground mining contractors are operating at the two initial mining zones, Promontorio and San Miguel, with more than 240 personnel on site. Initial underground development equipment has arrived and is in use, with mobilization essentially complete. The mill refurbishment is over 65% complete, with the crushing circuit approximately 89% done, while construction in the grinding, flotation, and laboratory areas is progressing in parallel.

Silverco CEO Mark Ayranto stated that the Cusi restart has transitioned from the preparation phase into the execution phase, with the first blast completed, the new main ventilation fan on site, and the Mal Paso plant refurbishment more than halfway done, all while achieving zero lost-time incidents. The company remains on budget and on schedule, with the remainder of Q3 2026 focused on accelerating development, opening the San Miguel portal, and completing the plant refurbishment to deliver first concentrate in Q4 and have two producing silver mines in Mexico by year-end.

Recently, the first underground development blast on the main Promontorio ramp was completed, with focus on widening the main ramp to the dimensions required for efficient production. Ventilation fan infrastructure is complete, and installation is underway, including drilling service holes to route power cables to the substation supplying the fan. Preparation work for the new San Miguel portal is also in progress, including ground support installation, with the first portal blast expected shortly, followed by ramp development advancing toward the San Miguel ore zone.
