Australia's Matsa Intersects High-Grade Gold, 26.6 Meters of Mineralization

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Matsa Resources (ASX:MAT) has returned new gold intersections from its 10,000-meter diamond drilling program at the Lake Carey Gold Project in Western Australia. Nine holes totaling 3,404 meters have been completed in the Fortitude North area, with the drill site accessible directly by land-based rigs.

The latest assay results show hole 26FNDD018 intersected 26.6 meters at 4.48 g/t gold from 92.9 meters downhole, including 10.3 meters at 6.24 g/t gold from 108.2 meters; the same hole also intersected 5.8 meters at 2.25 g/t gold from 243 meters. Hole 26FNDD017 intersected 3.1 meters at 5.66 g/t gold from 302.05 meters and 5.1 meters at 9.68 g/t gold from 352.95 meters. Hole 26FNDD020 intersected 5.8 meters at 8.29 g/t gold from 274 meters.

Executive Chairman Paul Poli said these results continue to confirm the exploration potential of the Fortitude North area, with diamond drilling delivering continuous high-grade assay results. All nine holes in the northern area have now been completed, with further assay results expected in the near term, and drilling has moved south into the lake area to continue.

Previous aircore drilling has defined a 1.7-kilometer-long gold anomaly at Fortitude North, with both ends of the anomaly remaining open. Current geological interpretation suggests high-grade gold mineralization is hosted within multiple stacked, moderately dipping structures in mafic volcanic flows. Fortitude North is located within the Fortitude Shear Zone gold corridor, a regional structure hosting multiple gold deposits across Matsa Resources' more than 40-kilometer-long tenure.

Matsa Resources plans to significantly expand reverse circulation and diamond drilling operations to fully test the prospectivity of this 1.7-kilometer-long gold anomaly.
