en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Western Australia Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration has approved the Mining Development and Closure Plan (MDCP) for Global Lithium Resources' Manna lithium project, clearing a key permitting hurdle for the project to enter the early construction phase.

The Manna mine site is located approximately 110 kilometers east of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The approved MDCP covers open-pit mining of one main pit and two satellite pits, waste rock dumps, dry-stacked tailings storage facilities, ore stockpiles, accommodation camp, wellfield, topsoil stockpile areas, and associated mining infrastructure.

Global Lithium plans to make a final investment decision on the Manna project in the fourth quarter of this year, subsequently advancing the project to achieve first direct shipping ore (DSO) production in the second quarter of 2027, with first production of spodumene concentrate grading 5.5% lithium oxide expected in mid-2027.

Global Lithium Managing Director Dr. Dianmin Chen stated that securing this key permit will accelerate the project's path to production, reinforcing the company's commitment to becoming Australia's next lithium producer and delivering tangible value to shareholders and community partners.
