en.Wedoany.com Reported - CoreWeave (Nasdaq: CRWV) announced its expansion into Indonesia, marking the company's first data center presence in the Asia-Pacific region. This expansion adds three new facilities totaling 360 megawatts of contracted IT power, expected to come online in 2028. CoreWeave will own and operate the computing environments at all three sites, bringing its full AI cloud platform to laboratories, startups, and enterprise customers deploying workloads in Southeast Asia.

Demand for AI cloud services has grown beyond CoreWeave's existing coverage in the United States and Europe. Across Asia, enterprises, AI-native companies, and governments increasingly require AI computing power located close to their data and users, driven both by latency-sensitive workloads and data localization requirements. CoreWeave's entry into Indonesia reflects this trend, expanding the company's ability to serve AI customers across the Asia-Pacific region.

This investment also supports Indonesia's national priorities to strengthen digital infrastructure, expand domestic AI capabilities, and position the country as a leading digital economy in the region. Beyond physical construction, CoreWeave plans to build and train a local team in Indonesia to operate the new facilities, supporting the development of local technology talent.

The Indonesian facilities will join CoreWeave's rapidly growing global infrastructure footprint. As of March 31, 2026, CoreWeave operates 49 data centers worldwide, with over 1 GW of active power and over 3.5 GW of contracted power to support large-scale AI workloads. The company's AI cloud has set records in MLPerf training and inference benchmarks and is the only AI cloud provider to achieve the highest Platinum rating in both SemiAnalysis ClusterMAX™ 1.0 and 2.0; in independent inference benchmarks conducted by Artificial Analysis, Moonshot AI's Kimi K2.6 ranked first in inference speed and cost-effectiveness.
