MediaTek Releases Its First Dimensity CX C10 Max Computing Platform Chip

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 21, MediaTek released the Dimensity CX C10 Max, the first flagship SoC in its all-new Dimensity Compute Experiences (CX) computing platform series, targeting next-generation high-end ultra-thin and light Googlebook devices. The chip is built on TSMC's second-generation 3nm process and integrates an 8-core all-big-core CPU, an 11-core GPU, and the eighth-generation NPU 890, and supports continuous inference tasks for on-device Agentic AI.

The CPU uses one Arm Cortex-X925 core clocked at up to 3.73GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores, and four Cortex-A720 cores, with 12MB of L3 cache and 10MB of system-level cache, and supports up to 9600Mbps LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage. For graphics, it uses the Arm Immortalis-G925 MC11, supporting 4K60 internal display and dual 4K external displays, and provides 4K60 video encoding and decoding capabilities.

For AI, it is equipped with the MediaTek NPU 890, with up to 55 TOPS of computing power, supporting data formats such as INT8, INT16, FP16, and BF16 for on-device generative AI, multimodal, and Agentic AI workloads. MediaTek said the NPU will be used to support Gemini Intelligence features on Googlebook, enabling some AI processing to be completed directly on the device side.

In terms of imaging and connectivity, the Dimensity CX C10 Max integrates the Imagiq 1090 ISP, supporting up to a 32-megapixel camera, and provides electronic image stabilization, HDR video, auto zoom, and continuous autofocus. Wireless connectivity supports Wi-Fi 7 with a maximum rate of 7.3Gbps, along with dual-engine Bluetooth 6.0. MediaTek positions its power design for fanless ultra-thin and light devices, and tested all-day battery life based on a 60Wh battery.

The Dimensity CX C10 Max also marks MediaTek's official expansion of its personal computing chip product line. Previously, MediaTek's computing business mainly covered Chromebooks, tablets, and other devices. With the establishment of the new Dimensity CX brand, it has unified CPU, GPU, NPU, ISP, and connectivity capabilities into a new product system for AI PCs. The first C10 Max has been confirmed for use in upcoming high-end Googlebook devices, while the specific device brands, launch timing, and shipment scale have not yet been announced.
