en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 22, SEALSQ and its parent company WISeKey announced that they will continue to expand the SEALSQ–WISeKey Quantum Highway quantum-safe infrastructure network, with plans to connect sovereign technology centers in Switzerland, Spain, France, the United States, and India, and to further extend to space communications through the WISeSat satellite system. The network covers secure semiconductors and ASIC design, post-quantum security, chip personalization, Root of Trust and PKI, photonics, quantum computing, and quantum-safe satellite communications, among other segments.

Quantum Highway adopts a distributed technology node architecture and does not concentrate key technologies in a single location. According to the layout disclosed by SEALSQ, France is responsible for secure elements, post-quantum semiconductors, and ASIC design capabilities; in Murcia, Spain, Quantix Edge Security is advancing semiconductor capability building, with planned investment of approximately EUR 40 million; and India is advancing post-quantum semiconductor design, testing, and secure personalization capabilities through cooperation with Kaynes. The U.S. node connects to a quantum computing system based on liquid-helium surface electron technology through SEALSQ's investment in EeroQ.

Switzerland is the newly added physical construction node in this round of expansion. On September 21, SEALSQ, WISeKey, and the government of the Swiss canton of Jura signed a memorandum of understanding to build a post-quantum semiconductor and cybersecurity center, with planned investment of approximately CHF 40 million to CHF 60 million over six years. The center is intended to build Switzerland's domestic semiconductor secure personalization capabilities and combine them with the canton of Jura's existing foundations in microtechnology, precision manufacturing, and industrial engineering. According to official disclosures, the project is expected to create approximately 150 technical jobs within five years, with subsequent expansion to more than 250.

SEALSQ's current post-quantum hardware products mainly include the QS7001 Post-Quantum Secure Element and QVault TPM. QS7001 has obtained NIST SP 800-90B entropy source validation and completed Common Criteria fault injection and side-channel attack resistance testing; the company is continuing to pursue FIPS 140-3 and CC EAL5+ certification. QVault TPM provides a hardware Root of Trust supporting post-quantum algorithms for servers, industrial equipment, and edge terminals.

Quantum Highway also plans to subsequently connect to the WISeSat satellite network, extending terrestrial semiconductor, identity authentication, photonics, and quantum computing nodes to satellite communications. WISeKey has also proposed the Quantum Spatial Orbital Cloud roadmap, planning to form quantum-safe orbital infrastructure through up to 100 satellites, but the relevant satellite count is still a planning target and not a deployed scale.
