en.Wedoany.com Reported - Emaldo, a Nordic smart energy provider, has partnered with Danish energy aggregator Twig to expand market access for its battery storage customers in Denmark, Sweden, and Finland. Data released by Emaldo in July shows that its customers earn over €1 million per month through the Grid Rewards program, with more than 150 MW of controllable capacity. Under this partnership, Emaldo will integrate Twig's automated trading and optimization platform into its smart energy services.

This collaboration follows a similar arrangement Emaldo reached with Swedish balance responsible party Bixia in July, which aimed to expand access to the Swedish ancillary services market. Founded in Denmark in 2021, Twig operates an automated technology stack covering asset aggregation, forecasting, optimization, and energy trading, active in day-ahead, intraday, imbalance, and ancillary services markets across Europe, the United States, and Japan. The platform manages flexible assets including battery storage, solar, wind, and hybrid projects.

Alasdair Firth, Chief Product Officer at Emaldo, stated that as European energy markets become increasingly interconnected, this partnership strengthens the company's trading capabilities. Casper Sønderby, Co-founder and CEO of Twig, noted that combining Emaldo's residential battery portfolio with Twig's market trading expertise helps expand customer market access.

The two companies plan to extend the partnership to more European markets, in a manner similar to Emaldo's earlier collaboration with Bixia. According to Emaldo, the company was founded in Denmark in 2022 and has installed over 12,000 systems across its markets.
