en.Wedoany.com Reported - Mermaid Maritime, an offshore oil and gas engineering services provider, has announced the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary in Delaware, USA. The new entity will serve as its primary operating and contracting platform in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, with business scope covering commercial bidding, execution of customer and supplier agreements, personnel hiring, and support for the future deployment of marine assets in the U.S. offshore energy sector.

Mermaid Maritime stated that establishing a local entity aims to enhance its ability to directly engage with major operators, contractors, and strategic partners, participate in competitive tenders, and strengthen its long-term presence in the U.S. market. The company believes that the U.S. offshore energy market is one of the largest and most active offshore service markets globally, with demand driven by sustained investment in offshore oil and gas production, subsea infrastructure, decommissioning projects, and offshore energy initiatives.
According to the plan, Mermaid Maritime will adopt a phased entry strategy during the initial business development stage, deploying a lean business development team first, with a focus on market intelligence gathering and establishing partnerships with key operators in the region. The establishment of the U.S. subsidiary also continues the company's group strategy of diversifying revenue streams and expanding international market coverage through localized presence.
Previously, Mermaid Maritime had established joint ventures in Taiwan, Equatorial Guinea, Brunei, and Singapore.
