en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 7, Nvidia plans to invest up to $3 billion in Lancium, a U.S. power infrastructure developer. The initial investment will be approximately $2 billion, granting Nvidia about a 20% stake in Lancium; if the company meets agreed milestones such as grid interconnection, Nvidia may add another $1 billion.

Under the proposed deal, Lancium's enterprise value, including its land and power interconnection assets, is approximately $10 billion. The new funds will be used to expand the company's power infrastructure business, and Lancium is also exploring an initial public offering in 2027. As of Reuters' publication, neither Nvidia nor Lancium had responded to requests for comment.
Lancium owns the Abilene Clean Campus in Texas, a roughly 1,000-acre site that serves as the first operational location for the Stargate artificial intelligence infrastructure initiative. The campus has secured 1.2 gigawatts of grid interconnection capacity and plans to build eight data center buildings, designed, constructed, and operated by AI infrastructure company Crusoe.
The Stargate initiative involves companies such as OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle, with plans to build large-scale AI data centers across the United States. This proposed investment corresponds to Lancium's equity and its land and power interconnection assets; the transaction amount does not represent equipment procurement or individual project construction costs for the data centers.
