en.Wedoany.com Reported - U Mobile, a Malaysian 5G network provider, today launched its Enterprise Innovation Platform (EIP) Hub. This collaborative innovation center, built on the company's 5G-A infrastructure, is open to enterprises with the goal of helping them transform ideas into practical solutions powered by 5G-Advanced (5G-A) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The launch event was officiated by Malaysia's Minister of Communications, YB Dato' Seri Fahmi Fadzil.
U Mobile stated that many enterprises exploring AI-driven solutions and advanced technologies still face the common challenge of translating innovation into tangible business outcomes. The EIP Hub aims to bridge this gap by providing a dedicated environment where enterprises can develop, test, and demonstrate 5G-A and AI-enabled solutions before scaling them to real-world operations. The platform brings together enterprises, technology partners, academia, consultants, and public sector stakeholders to reduce implementation risks and accelerate technology adoption.
Prior to this launch, the Enterprise Innovation Platform had appointed an advisory panel in July and formed an ecosystem comprising 15 partners across categories such as technology, enablement, academia, and anchor organizations. The platform integrates expertise in connectivity, AI, cloud, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology to foster collaboration and transformation. The EIP Hub showcased four in-house implementation projects, involving 5G and AI-driven visual intelligence for real-time operational monitoring; digital twin predictive asset management combining 5G, IoT, and AI; 5G-enabled drone patrol and data collection for autonomous inspection; and 5G-powered humanoid robots for autonomous intelligent automation operations.
EIP partners also demonstrated industry solutions: MCMC AgriNXT unveiled an AI-driven agriculture solution to optimize plantation operations and asset utilization; Qualcomm showcased an AI-enabled smart retail solution providing real-time insights into customer behavior and store operations; and Huawei demonstrated an AI-driven smart ward solution integrating 5G, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), and IoT connectivity for real-time patient monitoring and intelligent analytics. As part of the launch event, the EIP Hub hosted a two-day executive innovation forum featuring thought leadership sessions, solution showcases, and exclusive Hub tours.
U Mobile's Chief Executive Officer, Wong Heang Tuck, stated that the company's goal is not only to provide connectivity but also to drive the nation's next phase of growth through digital infrastructure. He noted that through the Enterprise Innovation Platform and EIP Hub, organizations can explore new technologies, develop solutions, and scale innovations via the 5G-A infrastructure. The EIP Hub will continue to expand its ecosystem through strategic partnerships, proof-of-concepts, and pilot projects in the future, supported by ULTRA5G and U Mobile's Indoor Coverage (IBC).
