This collaboration is designed to support Sun Phu Quoc Airways' long-term pilot development plan, as Vietnam's aviation market continues to expand.

Sun Phu Quoc Airways launched commercial operations in November 2025 and currently operates a fleet of 17 aircraft, with plans for further expansion to meet growing passenger demand. The first batch of trainees was selected precisely for this reserve workforce development. BAA Training Vietnam adopts an airline-centric training approach, helping trainees acquire the theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and operational mindset required in modern commercial aviation.

The two-month training program combines competency-based instruction, advanced simulator training, and airline-oriented operational readiness, with the goal of producing pilots capable of meeting the demands of the modern cockpit. The program simultaneously meets the standards set by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
