ZeroG Aircraft Industry Signs with Dassault Systèmes to Advance End-to-End Digital Development of eVTOL

The two parties will carry out long-term cooperation around the end-to-end digital development of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, with the cooperation focusing on digital design, simulation, collaborative R&D, and product lifecycle management in the aircraft development process.

Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform covers product design, engineering simulation, data management, and manufacturing collaboration. It can integrate software tools such as CATIA, SIMULIA, ENOVIA, and DELMIA in a unified environment, forming a data chain that runs through design, simulation, engineering, and manufacturing. Dassault Systèmes has already applied its related digital solutions in the aerospace field, which can support multi-disciplinary collaborative modeling of aircraft, system simulation, product data management, and the connection between R&D and manufacturing.

ZeroG Aircraft Industry has currently established a product layout of two types of new energy aircraft: electric fixed-wing aircraft and eVTOL. Its products include the RX1E-A electric fixed-wing aircraft, the RX1E-S electric seaplane, and two eVTOL models, the ZG-ONE "Quefei" and the ZG-T6. The digital development system corresponding to this cooperation will mainly serve the eVTOL product development process.

The development of a complete eVTOL aircraft involves multiple specialized systems, including aerodynamics, structures, electric propulsion, avionics, flight control, and software. A digital platform needs to organize multi-disciplinary design and verification within a unified product data environment. Dassault Systèmes' existing aerospace solutions already cover requirements management, engineering design, simulation, manufacturing preparation, and product lifecycle management. Its 3DEXPERIENCE platform can also establish a unified product definition and connect engineering and manufacturing processes.

In China's eVTOL sector, Dassault Systèmes previously established cooperation with AutoFlight around the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to build an integrated product development platform covering technical management, engineering design, simulation, and processes. After signing with ZeroG Aircraft Industry this time, the cooperation stage disclosed by both parties is currently a strategic cooperation agreement, and the specific software modules, project implementation timeline, and investment amount have not yet been made public.
