YTO Signs Multiple Aviation Logistics Cooperation Agreements at the Global Digital Trade Expo

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 23, at the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, YTO and its related business entities signed multiple cooperation agreements centered on domestic commercial aircraft operation support, fresh produce cold-chain air transport, aircraft maintenance, and aviation logistics hub construction. Among them, YTO Airlines will advance the localization of domestic commercial aircraft components, the internationalization of its maintenance system, and passenger-to-freighter conversion cooperation, and will work with Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Co., Ltd. (GAMECO) to build a large-scale MRO aviation maintenance base in Jiaxing, Zhejiang; YTO signed a cooperation agreement with China Southern Airlines Logistics to carry out full-chain cooperation in fresh produce cold-chain air cargo; and the Phase II project of Oriental Sky Harbor was signed on the same day. The 5th Global Digital Trade Expo is held in Hangzhou from September 23 to 27, co-hosted by the People's Government of Zhejiang Province and the Ministry of Commerce.

In the field of domestic commercial aircraft, Xu Jiaming, President of YTO Airlines, stated that the subsequent scope of cooperation will cover businesses such as the localization of aircraft components, the internationalization of the maintenance support system, and passenger-to-freighter conversion. Maintenance capability is a key focus of this cooperation. GAMECO currently holds multiple maintenance certifications from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency, and can provide aircraft maintenance, modification, and engineering services for multiple aircraft models including COMAC C909 and C919 as well as Boeing and Airbus aircraft. Its business scope also includes passenger-to-freighter conversion, component maintenance, landing gear maintenance, aviation material management, and parts manufacturing.

YTO Airlines and GAMECO had previously established cooperation around the Jiaxing aviation maintenance base. The strategic cooperation framework agreement signed by both parties specifies that an aviation maintenance base will be built relying on the Jiaxing aviation logistics hub to provide aircraft maintenance engineering services for YTO Airlines and other domestic and international customers. The cooperation disclosed at this Global Digital Trade Expo will continue to anchor the large-scale MRO maintenance base in Jiaxing, forming a business layout within the same hub together with Oriental Sky Harbor's air cargo, cargo terminal, and aircraft maintenance facilities.

In the area of aviation cold chain, YTO signed a cooperation agreement with China Southern Airlines Logistics. The two parties will combine air trunk-line transportation, last-mile delivery, and comprehensive bonded zone resources to carry out full-chain cold-chain transportation cooperation for fresh products. China Southern Airlines Logistics currently operates a B777F all-cargo aircraft fleet and uses the bellyhold capacity of China Southern Airlines passenger aircraft for air cargo. It also operates self-owned cargo terminals in cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, and Urumqi, with business covering air express, ground comprehensive services, and supply chain solutions. YTO's existing international supply chain business already covers air transport, port operations, warehousing, customs declaration, and last-mile delivery, and Oriental Sky Harbor's related air cargo products can carry cold-chain fresh products and other goods.

The Phase II of Oriental Sky Harbor, signed simultaneously this time, continues the construction and operation of the Phase I project. Oriental Sky Harbor is located in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. Phase I covers approximately 1,500 mu and features seven core functional zones including air cargo terminal, bonded logistics, warehousing, and multimodal transport. The project has already developed business capabilities including air cargo acceptance, customs declaration, sorting and pallet building, warehousing scheduling, ground operations, and crew services. In May 2026, Oriental Sky Harbor opened its first international cargo route from Jiaxing to Dhaka, after which all-cargo routes from Jiaxing to Budapest, Tokyo, and other destinations were put into operation.

Less than a year after the Phase I international cargo function of Oriental Sky Harbor was put into operation, the Phase II signing was launched. The newly added construction will, together with the aviation maintenance, cold-chain cargo, and domestic commercial aircraft support businesses advanced during the same period, all be located within the Jiaxing aviation logistics hub system. The existing Phase I facilities already cover functions such as cargo terminal, bonded logistics, warehousing, multimodal transport, and aircraft maintenance. The specific investment amount, construction area, engineering content, and commissioning time of Phase II have not yet been disclosed this time.
