Sidike plans to invest RMB 1.652 billion to expand production of 103,000 tons of BOPET base film in Sihong, Jiangsu

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 23, Jiangsu Sidike New Materials Science & Technology Co., Ltd. announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Jiangsu Xingyuantai New Material Technology Co., Ltd., plans to invest in and construct an expansion project with an annual output of 103,000 tons of high-end functional BOPET base film in Sihong County, Suqian City, Jiangsu Province, with an estimated total investment of RMB 1.652 billion, funded by Xingyuantai's own funds and self-raised funds. The company held the 22nd meeting of the fifth board of directors on September 22 and deliberated and approved the investment matter. The project still needs to be submitted to the shareholders' meeting for deliberation.

The project construction period is planned to be 1.5 years. It will rely on a newly built plant area to construct standardized production workshops, clean production areas, raw material warehousing, finished product warehousing, and supporting auxiliary production facilities, and will also purchase production and supporting equipment such as base film extrusion, biaxial stretching, precision setting, surface treatment, high-precision slitting, and online inspection. The final project investment amount and actual construction period shall be subject to the project implementation situation.

After the project is put into operation, it will produce multiple series of high-end functional BOPET base materials on a large scale, including MLCC release film base film, polarizer release and protective film base film, photosensitive dry film base film, ordinary release and protective film base film, and window film base film. Among them, the related products will serve application fields such as microelectronic MLCC manufacturing, special optical devices, precision PCB circuits, intelligent terminal protection, automotive and architectural energy-saving window films, and industrial precision protection.

According to the announcement, before the implementation of this project, it is still necessary to go through the shareholders' meeting deliberation procedure and obtain relevant approval or filing procedures such as project initiation filing, environmental impact assessment, energy conservation review, safety evaluation, and fire protection acceptance. The company also noted that the subsequent construction of the project and the release of production capacity will be affected by factors such as market demand, new industry production capacity, mass production processes, raw material prices, and project construction progress.
