en.Wedoany.com Reported - Australian rental company BSF Mobile Cranes has taken delivery of the country's first 8-tonne Liebherr MK 88-4.1E mobile self-erecting tower crane, along with a 450-tonne-class LTM 1400-6.1 all-terrain crane.

The MK 88-4.1E features a four-axle design with a maximum lifting capacity of 8 tonnes. At a maximum radius of 45 metres, it offers a hook height of 30.2 metres and can lift 2.2 tonnes. The jib can be luffed at angles of 15, 30, or 45 degrees above the horizontal, achieving a maximum hook height of 59.1 metres with a corresponding lifting capacity of 1,850 kg. The machine supports single-person remote-controlled setup and operation and will primarily be deployed on construction sites with limited space.

The LTM 1400-6.1 features a six-axle design, equipped with a six-section 70-metre main boom with a Y-Guy Superlift system, and offers a variety of lattice extensions and boom options, including a 45.5-metre luffing jib for a maximum tip height of approximately 120 metres, or an 80.5-metre luffing jib reaching up to 140 metres. This 450-tonne-class crane will be used for industrial, infrastructure, and construction projects.

BSF Director Anthony Stoeckert said the 450-tonne crane significantly expands the company's heavy lifting capabilities, enabling more efficient support for clients on projects requiring higher lifting capacities and greater working ranges. The company previously owned an LTM 1350-6.1, and the upgrade to the LTM 1400-6.1 was a natural step—it has a similar footprint to the company's existing 350-tonne crane but offers significantly higher lifting capacity. The MK 88-4.1E, meanwhile, adds a differentiated solution to the company's portfolio between conventional mobile cranes and fixed tower cranes.

BSF Mobile Cranes is part of the BSF Group, headquartered in Bellimbah, northern Queensland, Australia, with a fleet of approximately 50 cranes covering lifting capacities from 1 tonne to 500 tonnes, supported by a team of 21 employees.
