en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 13, Minsud Resources announced that the Chita Valley copper-gold polymetallic project in Argentina is scheduled to commence a 10,500-meter diamond drilling program in August, focusing on expanding existing mineral resources and testing new porphyry-epithermal mineralization targets.

This drilling campaign covers four areas: 4,600 meters at the Chinchillones deposit, 2,150 meters at the Placetas target, 2,250 meters at the Chita South porphyry zone, and 1,500 meters at the Pinto target. At Chinchillones, the program will focus on verifying the along-strike and down-dip extensions of high-grade copper-gold-silver-zinc-lead hydrothermal breccia bodies.
Historical drill hole CHDH23-69 returned a 786-meter mineralized interval grading 0.43% copper, 368 g/t molybdenum, 0.23 g/t gold, and 15.78 g/t silver, with mineralization remaining open at depth; this includes a high-grade zone of 166.3 meters at 1.35% copper.
As of February 2026, the project hosts indicated resources of 240 million tonnes and inferred resources of 955 million tonnes, totaling approximately 1.195 billion tonnes. The Chinchillones deposit accounts for 233 million tonnes of indicated resources and 782 million tonnes of inferred resources, while the Chita South porphyry zone hosts 7 million tonnes of indicated resources and 174 million tonnes of inferred resources.
The Chita Valley project is located in Iglesia Department, San Juan Province, Argentina, covering a mining concession area of approximately 19,923 hectares, approximately 35 kilometers from Bella Vista and Villa Iglesia. The project is held by Minera Sud Argentina, with South32 indirectly owning 50.1% and serving as operator, and Minsud indirectly owning 49.9%.
This campaign remains in the resource exploration and resource expansion stage, involving service requirements such as diamond drilling, drilling consumables, core processing, geophysical surveys, sample transportation, laboratory analysis, and camp logistics. It has not yet entered the stage of centralized procurement for mine construction or production equipment.
