Sinochem International's EMA Project Unit Fully Operational, Marking China's First Self-Developed Industrial Unit

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 24, Sinochem International's EMA (Ethylene-Maleic Anhydride Copolymer) project unit achieved full operational status, with the first batch of qualified products successfully coming off the production line. This is the first EMA industrial unit in China with fully independent intellectual property rights.

The core production technology for EMA products has long been dominated by overseas enterprises. The commissioning of this project marks an independent breakthrough in domestic EMA industrial technology, helping to reduce reliance on imported technology.

The project's success is attributed to Sinochem International's independent process technology innovation and the robust industrial chain synergy of its Lianyungang Circular Economy Industrial Park. The EMA project is built on the core principles of efficient production, green and low-carbon operations, and intrinsic safety, establishing a modern system featuring resource recycling, streamlined processes, and intelligent management. Leveraging the ethylene and C3 industrial chains and comprehensive utility support at the Lianyungang base, the project effectively reduces intermediate logistics and energy losses through simplified process flows and extended industrial chain proximity.

In terms of green and low-carbon practices, the project reduces "three wastes" at the source, with all solvents purified and fully recycled; all electrical equipment adopts first-class energy efficiency standards with intelligent variable frequency control. For safety management, the project is equipped with hardware facilities such as SIS interlocking systems, gas monitoring, and explosion-proof and pressure-relief devices, and relies on the company's "five-in-one" information platform to incorporate personnel positioning, equipment and facilities, and major hazard sources into digital management; it also establishes comprehensive operational procedures, routine risk inspections, and emergency drill mechanisms.

EMA products are widely used in new energy, new materials, and other fields. The commissioning of this project further enriches Sinochem International's new chemical materials product portfolio. Sinochem International stated that it will continue to deepen its new chemical materials business, accelerating the serial iteration and high-end upgrading of its products.
