bp Group Announces Wu Yue as bp China President, Effective September 1

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 25, bp Group appointed Wu Yue as President of bp China, with the appointment taking effect on September 1, 2026. Wu Yue will succeed Yang Shixu, who will step down from his roles as bp Group Senior Vice President and President of bp China on August 31.

Wu Yue joined bp Group in 2004 and currently serves as President of bp's Global Gas Markets and Voluntary Carbon Markets, overseeing downstream natural gas businesses covering China, Brazil, Europe, and other emerging markets, as well as voluntary carbon reduction asset trading. After assuming the role of China President, she will continue to oversee these global businesses.

Wu Yue graduated from the University of Oxford in the UK with a PhD in Automatic Control Engineering, and has held positions in bp's Integrated Energy Solutions, Gas and Low Carbon Solutions, and other business areas.
