en.Wedoany.com Reported - Renesas Electronics Corporation has officially launched its Physical AI & Robotics Lab in Beijing, China. The facility provides customers with a demonstration, validation, and co-development environment for next-generation robotic systems, while serving as the execution hub for Renesas' Physical AI strategy, covering the entire process from proof of concept to large-scale deployment.

Physical AI represents the next stage of AI evolution, where intelligence extends from the digital realm into systems operating in the physical world. Unlike digital AI applications, such systems must perceive, decide, and act safely in real time with deterministic behavior. Robotics, particularly humanoid robots, is a typical application scenario for Physical AI, requiring seamless integration of embedded processing, sensing, actuation, power management, software, and development tools.

This lab marks another strategic move by Renesas in Physical AI, a key long-term growth area, following the establishment of its Physical AI Division on July 1, 2026.

The lab integrates hardware, software, AI modeling, control, power, sensing, and system-level validation capabilities, supporting the complete engineering workflow from solution development to deployment. As a platform connecting customer needs, ecosystem resources, and advanced technologies, the lab's role extends beyond product demonstration to supporting the validation and co-development of complete robotic solutions.

Renesas' product portfolio covers critical robotic system domains, including brain and motion control, sensing, actuation, and power management. Building on decades of expertise in automotive and industrial applications, Renesas combines hardware technologies with functional safety, edge AI, and the cloud-based electronics development platform Renesas 365 to help customers design safer, smarter, and more scalable robotic systems.
