SEWA Implements AED 7.1 Million Natural Gas Network Projects in Sharjah

en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority (SEWA) has announced a package of natural gas pipeline network construction projects covering four areas in Sharjah city, with a total investment exceeding AED 7.1 million. Three of the projects have entered the construction phase, while the remaining one is currently processing the no-objection certificate required prior to commencement.

The Al Hamah natural gas transmission pipeline project involves an investment of AED 3.3 million, with a pipeline length of 9,343 meters. It is currently 90% complete and is scheduled for completion in September 2026. The Al Muwardah 6 natural gas pipeline network involves an investment of AED 843,244, with 10 kilometers of new pipeline network to be constructed. It is currently 20% complete and is scheduled for completion by the end of March 2027.

The Al Badea area natural gas pipeline network involves an investment of AED 1.16 million, with a construction length of 8.9 kilometers. The current construction progress stands at 25%, and it is also scheduled for completion by the end of March 2027. The Al Qutaina 3 natural gas pipeline network project involves an investment of AED 1.8 million, with a construction length of 18.4 kilometers. SEWA is currently coordinating with relevant authorities to obtain the no-objection certificate, and the project is scheduled for completion in July 2027.

Based on the announced project scope, the four projects involve a total natural gas pipeline length of approximately 46.6 kilometers. Among them, the Al Hamah project has entered its final stage, the Al Muwardah 6 and Al Badea projects remain in the early-to-mid construction phase, and Al Qutaina 3 is still in the pre-construction approval preparation stage.
