Eurowind Energy completes acquisition of EnBW's 120 MW Swedish renewable energy platform
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 3, Danish renewable energy developer Eurowind Energy completed its acquisition of the Swedish renewable energy platform of German energy company EnBW, officially integrating approximately 120 MW of operational onshore wind assets, a portfolio of renewable energy projects under construction and in development, as well as local operations and maintenance business into Eurowind Energy. The agreement for the transaction was signed on July 13, with completion subject to Sweden's foreign direct investment review.

The acquisition targets include the relevant business of EnBW Sverige AB. EnBW confirmed that the divestment scope primarily covers Swedish onshore wind farms with a total installed capacity of approximately 120 MW, as well as a number of renewable energy projects in the development stage, including wind and solar power. Following the completion of the transaction, EnBW exits wind and solar project development and operations in the Nordic market; the parties did not disclose the acquisition amount.
In addition to operational power generation assets and the project development portfolio, Eurowind Energy has also taken over EnBW's existing operations and maintenance business in Sweden. Eurowind Energy had previously acquired EnBW's Connected Wind Services business in Denmark in 2026. Following the completion of the Swedish transaction, Connected Wind Services has simultaneously gained a local business platform in Sweden, with its business scope covering wind turbine operations, maintenance, and services.
When signing the agreement in July, Eurowind Energy expected the transaction to close in the third quarter of 2026, with the Swedish foreign direct investment review as a precondition. On September 3, the company confirmed that the transaction had been completed, indicating that the regulatory preconditions involved in the agreement signing phase in July had been fulfilled, and the relevant operational assets, development projects, and O&M business have now been incorporated into Eurowind Energy's Swedish business system.
