en.Wedoany.com Reported - Tata Power Solaroof, a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has announced that it has surpassed 500,000 rooftop solar system installations across India's residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.

As of July 31, 2026, Tata Power Solaroof has completed a cumulative total of 519,673 rooftop solar installations, accounting for approximately 14% of India's rooftop solar market. The company plans to achieve 3 million installations by 2029.

Tata Power Solar Rooftop has over 700 channel partners and 250 authorized service partners across India. Indian credit rating agency Crisil has ranked it as India's No. 1 rooftop solar company for 12 consecutive years.

In 2024, Tata Power Solaroof launched the "Ghar Ghar Solar" initiative, aligned with the Indian government's "Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana" scheme. The initiative has expanded to 11 states, including Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Bihar, as well as the Union Territory of Chandigarh, covering a total population of over 900 million in these regions, with a focus on consumer awareness, financing support, and accessibility of rooftop solar systems.

For commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, the company offers financing solutions through public sector banks and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), including the SunSmart Flexi EMI plan. This plan adopts a "pay as you save" model, with repayment schedules linked to expected solar power generation. Tata Power Solaroof has facilitated cumulative rooftop solar financing exceeding INR 85 billion through a network of over 25 financing partners.

Residential customers can opt for the Mysine product portfolio, which offers battery energy storage systems ranging from 5 kWh to 40 kWh, designed to release solar power stored during the day during evening, nighttime, or periods of insufficient sunlight.

C&I customers, on the other hand, can choose the PowerHub product portfolio, which provides scalable battery energy storage systems with capacities ranging from 60 kWh to 5 MWh, with the ability to further expand based on specific operational and load requirements. Such systems help businesses optimize renewable energy consumption, manage peak power demand, and extend clean electricity usage beyond solar generation hours.
