Palantir and Nebius of the Netherlands Reach Sovereign AI Infrastructure Partnership
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 8, Palantir Technologies and Nebius Group announced a strategic partnership, with Palantir designating Nebius as its preferred sovereign AI infrastructure partner. After system integration is completed, Nebius's AI compute and inference endpoints will connect to Palantir's enterprise environment, allowing eligible commercial customers to directly access Nebius's cloud computing and inference infrastructure while retaining control over their own compute, data, and models.

This partnership is not merely a cloud service procurement. Palantir will integrate its Sovereign AI Operating System, composed of AIP, Ontology, Foundry, and Apollo, with Nebius's AI-native computing infrastructure and cloud platform. Enterprise customers can deploy open models on Nebius infrastructure and use their own proprietary data to continuously train and optimize models, with model operation, data processing, and inference resources all incorporated into Palantir's software permissions and isolation system.
The two parties also plan to jointly accelerate the deployment of additional AI compute, including building modular data centers at sites that already have power supply conditions. The official announcement has not yet disclosed the specific data center locations, initial deployment capacity, GPU counts, investment amounts, or system integration completion timeline for this partnership.
Nebius is currently expanding AI infrastructure in the United States and Europe. The company previously proposed achieving 800MW to 1GW of energized compute capacity by the end of 2026 and continues to expand its project pipeline in the United States and EMEA region; in 2026, it raised its global contracted power target to more than 3GW. Its projects under construction in Europe include a 310MW AI factory in Lappeenranta, Finland, and a 240MW AI factory near Lille, France.
In the United Kingdom, Nebius has committed approximately £1.7 billion to expand four AI infrastructure sites, of which three new sites will be equipped with NVIDIA infrastructure, and the four sites are expected to reach 65MW at full load by 2027. Nebius has previously deployed NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 Blackwell Ultra systems in Europe and plans to begin deploying the NVIDIA Vera Rubin NVL72 platform in the United States and Europe starting in the second half of 2026.
