Invenergy and HASI Partner on 2.7GW Renewable Energy Projects in the US
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Invenergy (an independent power producer, IPP) has entered into an equity partnership with energy investment firm HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital (HASI) to support 2.7GW of renewable energy projects across the United States.

The partnership covers ten utility-scale projects, including solar PV, solar-plus-storage, and wind, located across Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Indiana, Ohio, and New York.
At this stage, more than 850MW of the 2.7GW portfolio is already operational, with the remaining projects expected to begin operations by the first quarter of 2027.
Neither party disclosed the ownership of specific projects within the portfolio. However, Invenergy brought several utility-scale solar projects online in some of these states last year, including a 300MW PV plant in Texas, a 250MW solar project in Ohio, and a 250MW facility in Indiana.
Invenergy also began construction in June last year on a 240MW solar PV plant in Franklin County, Ohio, which is expected to enter commercial operation in early 2027.
Under the agreement, Invenergy retains control and majority ownership of the portfolio while continuing to handle day-to-day operations of the projects; HASI will provide funding for each project as it reaches commercial operation.
The two companies said all these projects have long-term agreements in place, with offtakers that are investment-grade entities, including corporate, utility, and public sector entities.
Meghan Schultz, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Invenergy, said the transaction with HASI reflects Invenergy's industry-leading execution capability and helps the company recycle capital to support long-term growth.
