en.Wedoany.com Reported - China Southern Airlines plans to resume scheduled passenger services between Guangzhou and New Delhi, India, starting September 21, 2026. The route is being restored after a suspension of approximately six years, with Boeing 737 series aircraft scheduled to operate one daily flight. Public information shows that China Southern announced the resumption arrangements for the route on September 12.

After the Guangzhou–New Delhi route is restored, China Southern will operate 8 round-trip routes in South Asia, with more than 100 weekly flights. What is being restored is China Southern's scheduled passenger service connecting Guangzhou and New Delhi, representing the resumption of a previously suspended route rather than a newly launched route.

Since 2026, multiple scheduled direct routes between China and India have been gradually restored or increased. Air China resumed the Beijing–New Delhi route, China Eastern Airlines resumed direct Kunming–Kolkata service on April 18; India's IndiGo launched daily direct flights between Kolkata and Shanghai in March, and has restored or increased some routes connecting Chinese cities.

The confirmed operational date for China Southern's Guangzhou–New Delhi route is September 21, with a frequency of one daily flight, operated by Boeing 737 series aircraft. After the route is restored, Guangzhou will regain scheduled passenger connectivity to New Delhi with China Southern direct flights.
