Wedoany.com Report-Jun 25, Metso has signed a three-year contract with BHP to provide metallic liners for chute solutions at BHP’s Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO) operations. The agreement’s financial terms were not disclosed.

The contract involves supplying Metso’s XAlloy metallic and cast wear liners, designed to optimize operational efficiency. Metso’s protective chute lining solutions are customized to reduce downtime while enhancing productivity and throughput for demanding mining environments.

Metso operates advanced foundry and production facilities in Australia for rubber and Poly-Met materials, supported by a nationwide network of service centers. In March, Metso launched the Cu POX leaching solution, a sustainable hydrometallurgical process to improve copper sulphide leaching and address ore composition challenges.
