Wedoany.com Report-Jun 25, Polymetals Resources has started producing silver-lead and zinc concentrates at its Endeavor mine in New South Wales, Australia. After an eight-month refurbishment, the mine’s processing plant is now operational.
The Endeavor processing plant is now operational following an eight-month refurbishment programme.
Situated 40km north of Cobar in the Cobar Basin, the underground mine’s processing plant has a 1.2 million tonnes per annum capacity, equipped with a two-stage crushing plant, three ball mills, a lead/zinc flotation circuit, thickeners, filtration, and storage facilities. Zinc concentrate will be exported in 10,000 dry metric tonne parcels from Adelaide’s Berth 29, with silver-lead concentrate in 5,000 dmt parcels.
Dave Sproule, Executive Chairman, stated: “We are delighted with the completion of the Endeavor mill refurbishment. Milling operations are settling down well and we are addressing various maintenance issues as they arise.” He noted: “Pre-payment against holding certificates has been arranged with Ocean Partners to assist with working capital needs. The site continues to mill medium-grade ore whilst optimising processing to receive increasing primary feed grade and high-grade silver ore in the coming months.”
Polymetals acquired the mine in 2023. It includes a 7km decline, a 300m shaft, headframe, winder, crusher, and necessary equipment, supported by a sealed road, rail, grid power, and water supply. In February, Polymetals raised A$35 million in equity to fund the mine’s restart, advancing regional mining operations.
