en.Wedoany.com Reported - Panoro Minerals announced the signing of a surface access agreement with the Guaclle community, aimed at advancing the development of the Cotabambas copper-gold-silver project located in the Apurímac region. The agreement is considered a key step in advancing the project.

The agreement grants the company the right to initiate exploration activities in Target Area 7, where multiple high-grade skarn mineralization outcrops have been identified, covering an area of approximately 4 square kilometers.

Panoro emphasized that the agreement with the Guaclle community is a significant milestone for the project, as it secures the land use rights necessary to execute the planned exploration program.

This move complements the company's previously obtained Semi-Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIAsd) environmental permit, the update and extension of which were approved in 2024 and is valid until 2030. With these authorizations, the company can further assess the mineral potential of the mining area and generate new geological information for future drilling activities.

Planned activities include Induced Polarization (IP) geophysical surveys, magnetic and gravity surveys, as well as topographic surveys, detailed geological mapping, and field structural studies. Geochemical and lithogeochemical programs will also be carried out, aimed at identifying new mineralized zones and prioritizing high-grade exploration targets.

All acquired information will be integrated to optimize the selection of future drilling targets and expand the geological understanding of the project.

This program will proceed concurrently with drilling activities already initiated in Target Area 2, Pozo Sur. The company believes that the new work may uncover additional opportunities to expand known mineralized zones and enhance Cotabambas' development potential as one of the country's major copper projects.

Luquman Shaheen, President and CEO of Panoro, stated that this agreement once again demonstrates the company's corporate social responsibility in the Cotabambas project. It is the tenth community agreement signed by the company for this project, reflecting the close, collaborative, and long-term relationships established between Panoro's community relations team and local communities. He noted that the company's management team has worked with local community members for over 15 years and looks forward to continuing to expand existing agreements and sign new ones while broadening the exploration scope and advancing project development in 2026.
